What type of samples can the ATNA analyse?

The ATNA works with a wide range of sample types. Samples are prepared in sealed headspace vials and loaded into the 120-vial autosampler. The system heats each vial to release nitric oxide from any nitrosamines present, so the sample matrix needs to be compatible with headspace analysis.

Sample types that are routinely analysed include solid dose pharmaceutical products such as tablets and capsules, cosmetics including creams, lotions, and shampoos, and other complex formulated matrices.

The specific sample preparation steps depend on the matrix. Some samples can be placed directly into vials. Others may need dilution, dissolution, or other preparation to produce reliable results. Ellutia can advise on suitability and preparation requirements for your specific sample types before purchase.

The ATNA holds 120 headspace vials and processes up to 10 samples per hour. For laboratories running overnight batches, a full tray can be processed in a single unattended run.
